BOXING
WRIGHT v. KNUCKEY HASTINGS ON SATURDAY NIGHT George Wright, the N.Z champion bantam-weight boxer, is due to arrive in Hastings on Thursday for his match with Len Knuckey in the Hastings Drill Hail on Saturday night, and the four Feilding amateurs who aie to meet the Hawke's Bay stars will arrive on Friday. Wright is coming all the way from Christchurch for uiis •Ciitit, and he declares that he .a not travailing all that distance unless he can create a good impression and so help his future career. The Hastings boxer, of course, is more or less in the same box except that he does not have to travel far. If he can win, however, travel may eome his way in order to meet future opponents, so it can be taken for granted that he too will be doing his best. Both boxers are full of confidence, and the essentials are all there for a battle right out of the box. Ou account of it being a holiday period there is certain to be a heavy demand for seats and patrons are advised to reserve at Donovan’s.
