GOOD PROFIT FROM SALE OF SHIPS. (Received 17, 10.30 a.m.) London, March 16. A new company has been formed to acquire the Bay liners and the Fordsdale, to be called the Aberdeen and Commonwealth Line, Ltd., with capital of £500,000. The Peninsular and Orient Coy. will jointly provide half and the Shaw, Savill Coy. half. There will be no public issue of shares and no alteration in the management. Shipping circles consider that the Commonwealth has made a good deal as they will receive £500,000 in London, equivalent to £625,000 in Australia.
