THE MAHORA CLUB LAST NIGHT’S CARNIVAL. INTERMEDIATE BOYS’ CHAMPIONSHIP. The usual Thursday carnival conducted by the Mahora Swimming Club was held last evening. Th© final race for the intermediate boys’ championship was swum over a distance ot 100 yards, and was won by L. Vesty. The junior girls’ championship went to Miss K. Fannin. An even polo match was played between Mahora and a Napier Club team, the result being a draw, each side scoring one goal. Results:— Schoolchildren (12 and under), 100 yards; Thompson (8) 1, Wriglitson (12) 2, Coles (13) 3. Time, 36secs. Junior boys: Rivers (scr.) 1, Wrightson (9) 2. Tritt was disqualified for breaking. Time, 23secs. Open handicap, 440 yards: Watkins (а) 1, J. Tayler (45) 2, Hayes (32) 3. lune, 6.27 2-5. Junior girls, 50 yards: K. Fannin (scr.) 1, J. Fearn (5) 2. Time. 45 2-5 secs. Ladies, 100 yards: Misses Anderson (4) 1, Horne (14) 2. Time, 34 2-ssecs. Intermediate, 50 yards: L. Tayler (б) 1, Vesty (1) 2, Tritt 3. Time, 35secs. Diving, A grade: Ashman 1, J. Tayler 2, I. .Tayler 3. Diving, B grade: Miss E. Graham 1, Miss K. Fannin 2. Wise 3. Teams’ race: Rivers, Tritt, Wise (10) 1; Hayes, Round, Nesbitt (scr.) 2; L Tayler, J. Tayler, Vesty (2) 3.
