THE H.B. CHILDREN’S HOME
ANNUAL APPEAL. On Saturday, March 18, all the towns in Hawke’s Bay will be canvassed by collectors in an effort to obtain the sum of £l5OO required to carry on the work of the Hawke’s Bay Children’s Home. The collectors aro all giving their time and services in the cause and will be most happy to receive donations, however small. It may be pointed out that many small donations grow into a largo sum in the aggregate, and we hope no resident sympathetic with the work will hesitate to give because he or she may think a small donation is of no benefit. It is felt that the collectors will obtain a cordial, welcome when they call for subscriptions. There are, of course, many parts of the provincial district which cannot be reached by collectors, mid lo those beyond the collecting area an appeal is made to do their part by sending sub scriptions. by post. Forty years of this work have proved that financial assistance is readily given when the matter is brought to the notice of the public, and every ef fort is being made to bring the urgent need before all in this district. Cheques sent by post should be made payable to the'Hawke’s Bay Children’s Home and sent to Mr H. E. Edgley, Church street (P.O. Box 145), Napier.
