CRICKET
POVERTY BAY MATCH HAWKE'S BAY JUNIOR TEAM. The following players have been selected by Messrs C. Elnies and E. Mitchell, selectors, to represent Jlawke’s Bay in the junior representative cricket match against Poverty Bay, to be played at Nelson Park, Napier, on Friday and Saturday, March 24 and 2.5: —Rees (Technical O.B.) captain. Jeffrey (Swailes), vice-captain), Piric (Technical O.B.), Matthews (Swailes), Frater (Scinde), Whitton (Taradale), Mahony (High School), Alexander (Hastings), Rosenberg (Hastings). Jonson (Hastings), Grant (Kaiwaka). Younghusband (High School) twelfth man. Any of the above players unable to participate in the match are requested to notify the selectors immediately. An appeal is made to members of the team and to other ericketing enthusiasts to assist the Hawke’s Bay Cricket Association in the matter of billeting the members of the Poverty Bay Eleven. Anyone willing to help in this respect is asked to notify Mr C. Elmes.
