BUSINESS WOMEN’S CLUB

ADDRESSED BY MR HYDE Mr N. C. Hyde addressed the Business Women’s Club at Hastings on Monday, March 13, iu the Hawke’s Bay Fanners’ tea rooms the subject being “Taking the Long View”. The speaker touched on the condition of the world to-day and in New Zealand iu particular. He stressed the necessity for being optimistic In <*.nelusion, Mr Hyde said: “1 would like to impress upon you the importance and very great necessity of taking th« long view—conditions will not be over in a day. The Government has its faults, and no matter what our political views may lie we should endeavour to back the Government. We must recognise that the Government is doing its utmost, in an honest way, to try to meet the present position. If we even take a longer view and carry on we will attain prosperity. The Government wil] have the support of the people and have more heart to tackle the problem—and we ourselves will reach the goal.” Mrs Selwyn Chambers (president) was in the chair and there were 33 members present.
