SHIP IN DISTRESS
SEARCH FOR KINSEN MARU. ROUGH SEAS EXPERIENCED. (Received 14, 11.50 a.m.) Sydney, March 14. The master of the Talleyrand wirelessed at 2 a.m, to-day: “Nothing heard from Kinsen Marti. East-south-east storm with heavy rough sea, but hope to be alongside the Kinsen Maru this afternoon.” (See page 6 for earlier cable.) CARGO STEAMER'S MASTER DISAPPEARS. (Received 14, 10.50 a.m.) Sydney, March 14. According to a message revolted by Nelson and Roberts, merchants, Captain Mutton, the master of the small inter-State cargo steamer Poonbar, disappeared at sea yesterday. The discovery' was made when the ship was passing Bowen. It is thought that he was lost overboard.
