TAIL-LIGHTS ON CYCLES

COUNTY COUNCIL BY-LAW. The H.B. County Council has decided to insert a clause in its by-laws to enforce cyclists to affix tail lights to their cycles. At the monthly meeting of the council in Napier this morning tho chairman (Mr. F. B. Logan) drew attention to the constant danger from cyclists on county roads, and the difficulty motorists found in the half light of “picking up” cycles. There was some discussion as to whether the council should move for red reflectors or tail lights, but it was eventually decided in favour of lights. Cr. C. C. Smith* seconded by Cr. Lassen, moved in this direction, and were supported by the remaining councillors.
