CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS. ANNUAL COMPETITION COMMENCED. The East Coast Bowling Centre’s annual champion of champions singles competition was commenced on the Port Ahuriri Chib’s greens this morning Conditions were ideal, and the greens wore in excellent order. Two rounds were played this morning, the results being as follows: — First Round: Forsyth (Wairere) 18 v. Hall (Hastings) 17. McLennan (Bluff Hill) 21 v. Patterson (Waipawa) 15. Danvers (Omaranui) 17' v. Hall (Havelock N.) 13. Burge (Kia Toa) 17 v. Maher (St. Leonard’s) 12. McCarthy (Port Ahuriri) 22 v. Bendall (Napier) 12. ■ Second Round: Danvers (22) v. Burge (8).
