HEARTSEASE AT SYDNEY LONG ISLAND CRUISE. NUMEROUS PLACES VISITED. By Telegraph-Press Assn.—Copyright. (Received 10, 10.35 a.m.) Sydney, March 10. The yacht Heartsease arrived at Syiney after an extended cruise of the southern Pacific. Since leaving Wliangarei about six months ago the yacht has travelled several thousand miles and has visited numerous South Sea islands. The voyage from Brisbane to Sydney was the roughest of the whole cruise. On Sunday night they ran into a severe storm which washed away the dinghy and smashed both side lights. TRADE RELATIONS WITH N.Z. IMPORTANT REVISIONS EXPECTED. (Received 10, 10.30 a.m.) Sydney, March 10. The “Daily Telegraph’s’’ correspondent at Canberra says that important revisions of the trade relations between Australia and New Zealand are expected to follow Mr. Green’s visit to New Zealand. Under the trade agreement of 1922 the Dominion has distinct advantages, especially in live stock and fish, which are admitted duty free. N.S.W. FINANCE. GREATLY IMPROVED POSITION. (Received 10, 10.40 a.m.) Sydney, March 10. The Treasury figures for the first eight months of the financial year reveal that the State’s deficit has been reduced to £3,468,120. This compares with a deficit of £10,276,684 at tho end of the corresponding period of last financial year. The improvement, £6,808,564, is accounted for by increased revenue of £3,085,601 and decreased expenditure of £3,722,963.
