HAWKE’S BAY TOURNAMENT. The Hawke’s Bay Croquet Association’s annual tournament was continued in Napier yesterday in fine but overcast weather. Following are the results of the day's play:— Ladies’ singles—First life: Mrs. I’itcaithly beat Miss Lydford,229; Mrs Watkins beat Mrs Harvey, 26—17. Second life: Mrs Watkins beat Mrs Freedman,225;6 —5; Mrs Pitcaithly beat Mrs. Carrington, 26 —16. Handicap singles (A grade).—Final-. Mrs Freedman (4) beat Mrs Esson (4), 26—20. Open singles.—Mrs. Wood beat Miss Blake, 26—20, 26—12; Mrs. Hutchinson beat Mrs \\ alker, 26—20, 26 —24; Mrs Tiffen won by default from Mrs Esson.
