HAWKE'S BAY TOURNAMENT. THIS MORNING’S PLAY. The Hawke’s Bay Croquet Association ’s annual tournament was continued at Napier to-day in beautiful weather. The following are the results of the morning’s play:— Ladies’ Singles.—First life: Mrs Pitcaithly bent Mrs Logan, 26—12; Miss Carrington beat Mrs Wacher, 26—15. Second life: Mrs Pearce beat Mrs Bendall, 26—23; Mrs Tiffen beat Mrs Langford, 26 —10; Mrs Ball beat Mrs Gaterell, 26—8. Handicap Singles.—A Grade: Mrs Esson (4) beat Mrs Colbert (4). 26—1); -Mrs Wood (3) beat Mrs McCarthy (6), 26—5. Handicap Doubles.—Semi-final: Mrs Walker and Mrs Arkens (lOf) beat Mrs Watkins and Mrs Petersen (7), 26—23.
