REPUBLICAN DEMONSTRATION. (United Pres* Association—By CableCopyright.) (Received 30. 12.30 p.m.) London, Dec. 29. Patrick McDermott, a young Irish farmer, murdered his brother on September 3. Pierrepqnt, the English executioner, was specially called in today to carry out the sentence, with the result that there was a noisy Republican demonstration outside Mount Joy Prison. While tho hanging proceeded the demonstrators carried banners inscribed: “English bangman destroys Irishman. Is this justice? Is this freedom?” The police dispersed the crowd.
