Westshore Improvements.

Further improvements have been effected at Westshore in the vicinity of the hulk Trusty by .the planting of 50 ngaios, which, when grown larger, will prove a great benefit to picnickers as a shelter from the sun. The trees have been planted by the Westshoro Domain Board, which has had a large quantity of soil carted on to the beach for the purpose. The opinion has been expressed that the Westshore ocean beach is one of the finest in New Zealand for bathers, this being due to the alteration made to the level of the bench by the 1931 earthquake, which removed the dip in the beach and so did awav with the hitherto dangerous undertow.
