Gentlemen’s vocal scholarship, over 21.—Mr Herbert Seaton (Wellington), 351,1; Mr Ken MacAulay (Island Bay), 349, 2. Gentlemen’s operatic solo.—Mr Ken MacAulay, 180, 1; Mr Thos. Douds (Palmerston North), 178, 2. Gentlemen's New Zealand test recital.—Mr Albert Zeigler (Hawke’sßay), 184, 1; Mr Walter Hall (Wellington), 182, 2. At the Wellington musical competitions on Tuesday the following additional awards were received by Hawke’s Bay competitors: Mr A. T. Zeigler (Te Pohue) first for sight reading, gentleman, and very highly commended for Scottish folk song, gentleman, own selection; Mr Leonard E, Schwabe (Hawke’s Bay), second for piano solo, over 16 years; Master Jim McCarthy (Napier), second for action recitation, boy or girl, 9 to 12 years, own selection.
