HARRIERS
THE HASTINGS PACK A STRENUOUS RUN COURSE OF 61 MILES. OVER TWENTY COMPETITORS TAKE PART. The Hastings Harriers’ Club conducted another very fine run this afternoon, over 20 runners taking part in an exciting run of 61 nines.
The trail commenced from Mrs. J. Warren’s udence in Avenue road west, to v.cy’S road, thence across paddocks to Pakowhai road. From there it led to Karamu Avenue, the trail layers working in a circle and crossing the river eventually to go through Mr. Lowe’s orchard, Fakownai. The trail proceeded towards and across the Hahora Kchool grounds, and via Grey’s and Avenue roads to the starting point. The trail was laid by N. Cm/iman and N. Bussell the fast pack catching the trailers of the slow and intermediate packs at the entrance to the home gates. 1
