CHAMPIONSHIPS COMMENCED. Tho first qualifying round of tho Napier Ladies’ Golf Club championships was played at Waiobiki yesterday. The course was in good order, but the southerly gale and wintry conditions prevailing were not conducive to good scoring. Tho following are the best scores returned:—
