THE BRITISH OPEN. FIRST ROUND LEADERS. (Received 7, 1.25 p.m.) London, June 6. The open golf championship is being played at St. George’s and Sandwfth courses, the players changing courses to-morrow for the second qualifying round. A. Bradbury, the youngest and smallest of seven professional brothers, with 70, leads in the first round at St. George’s. Compston was next with 71, and others include Padgham (72), Duncan (74), Armour, holder (75).
Havers, with 71, equalled the record for Sandwich. Tho leaders include Dallemagne (France), 72; Ray W. Hartley, Sarazen, MacDonald-Smith, Mitchell, 73.
