TO-DAY’S SALE AT WAIPUKURAUk NO DEMAND FOR CATTLE. At the weekly stock sale held lu Waipukurau to-day there was a fairly; large attendance of buyers when, moderately large yarding of cattle and sheep came forward. In the eattic section particularly the bidding lacked animation, almost the whole of the offering being passed in at low values. The market for fat, store and breading sheep was also quiet at current unprofitable figures. Fat Cattle.—2 fair conditioned Hereford cows passed at £2 5/-; 8 Hereford do. likewise passed at £2 10/-; 8 P.A. do. passed at £2 5/-; 5 rough conditioned P.A. cows passed at £2 and 1 medium Hereford do. passed at £2 10/-.

Store and Dairy Cattle.—s 7 young Hereford heifers, of fair quality, passed ut 16/-; 6 lighter P.A. do. passed at £2; 6 light P.A. cows passed at £2; 3 dairy cows, mixed breeds, passed at £3 10/-; 3 young heifers, mixed breeds, fair quality, passed at £2; 2 medium Jersey cows passed at £1 15/-; 1 Jersey, cow, good type, due end of month, passed at £2 13/-; 9 medium Jersey weaners passed at £1 8/-; 3 good Jersey heifers, i.c., passed at £3 15/-; 4 steers, mixed breeds, no bid; 2 light steers passed at £1 5/-; 1 weaner steer, medium, passed at £1; 15 medium weaner heifers sold at £1 12/-; 15 do, smaller, £1 2/C; 10 others of medium condition passed at £1 3/6.
