RAVINE WINS THE MEMORIAL, STEWARDS’ TO PORTRAT. Greymouth, March 26. Tho Greymouth Jockey Club’a autumn meeting opened to-day in beautiful weather. The track was fast. There was a fair attendance. Polthea lost its rider at the barrier. Ravine was first away, followed by Thursby, Desert Song, and Gold Bag. Past the stand tho first time the order was: Raviue, Thursby, Desert Song, Royal Game. Ravine stayed on to win from the fast finishing Earthquake. Midas was fourth. Flying Handicap.—3 Limited (Kirwan) 1, 2 Mataa (Flower) 2, 4 Solvear (Hughes) 3.
