Nominations for the Dail Eireanu are as under:— Government Party .... 92 De Valeraites .. .. ~. 100 Labour 32 Ind-Labour 2 Independents . 28 The Independents include the Lord Mayor of Dublin, Mr Alfred Byrne, who is standing at the special request of Mr Cosgrave as an Independent Government supporter. The three sitting members for Dublin University have been returned unopposed. The only woman candidate is Mrs Collins O’Driscoll, a sister of Michael Collins, who is standing in the Government interest. \

Major Redmond, hitherto a National Leaguer, is contesting Waterford as a Government nominee.
