DELEGATES RETURNING HOME. GANDHI FULL OF HOPE. British Official Wireless Service. Rugby, Dec. 4. Many prominent Indian delegates at the Round Table Conference are returning home during the next few days. Before departing they are making farewell calls on the Prime Minister and other Ministers with whom they have been so closely associated during the last few weeks. Among those who had an interview of this character with the Prime Minister to-day was Gandhi, who leaves London to-morrow. Before entraining homeward, Gandhi said it had been well worth coming. He was leaving full of hope for India. MR. LLOYD GEORGE AT BOMBAY. Delhi, Dec. 5. Mr Lloyd George received a civic welcome in Bombay. Replying to the Mayor’s speech, he urged India to observe perseverance and patience. ATTACK ON SCHOOL MISTRESS. Delhi, Dec. 5. A European woman, head mistress of the Tundla Railway School near Oawnpore, was brutally assaulted by five unknown Indians while having dinner. She was sent to hospital in a precarious condition. It is believed robbery was the motive of the outrage. FEELING AGAINST BRITISH. Delhi, Dec. 5. Hatred of the British is to be found in every line of the resolution now bo fore the Bengal Congress conference nt Berhampore which proposes to restart an intensive boycott of everything British, including cotton goods, banks, insurance companies and ships by pro paganda and picketing. Civil dis obedience is also to be resumed. Villagers arc asked not to pay taxes.
