WARWICK FARM MEETING. FIRST ACRE AGAIN. Sydney, Dec. 6. The Warwick Farm race resulted:— Novice Handicap.—Rolls Royce 7.9 (Pratt) 1, Grand March 8.10 (McCarteu) 2, Chandu 8.1 (Williams) 3. Fourteen started. Won by a short neck. Time, 1.41. Kirkham Stakes. — Tingalba 8.5 (Bartie) 1, Nef 8.5 (Webster) 2, Arnurua 8.0 (Munro) 3. Twelve started. Nef made the running, but was beaten in the last few strides by a short head. Time, 1.2. Warwick December Handicap.—First Acre 9.2 (Webster) 1, Warneton 7.2 (Knox) 2, Loquacious 9.5 (Coutts) 3. Seven started, including Vertigern. The winner was pushed to get home by a short neck. Time, 2.33. Coutts was censured by the stewards for jostling on the rails, spoiling the chance of Loquacious winning. Hunt the Slipper, Gold Day and My Talisman ran unsuccessfully in other events.
