MR. FORBES CHEERED
SPEECH AT BANGIORA. “WILL DO HIS PART.” Christchurch, December 5. On his way to his home at Cheviot to-day, the Prime Minister, the Rt Hon. G. W. Forbes, called at Rangiora and received the congratulations of a good number of his supporters. Speaking to an assembly of 100, Mr Forbes thanked the electors of Hurunui for the fine support they had accorded him. He expressed gratification that the Coalition Government had received a mandate to continue On the lines adopted for the purpose of ensuring the national stability of the country. He referred to the difficulties to be faced, and gave an assurance that as Prime Minister he would continue to do his part, unpleasant though it might be. At the conclusion of his address Mr Forbes was cheered, and “For He’s a Jolly Good Fellow” was sung.
