SECOND CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES GOOD SCORES RECORDED The Napier Defence Rifle Club fired the first and second shoots for the second series of the championship at the week-end. The weather conditions were good .n the morning, but were somewhat deceptive in the afternoon. H. Pederson secured the first possible at 300yds and also secured the first 100 on tho new range. A. Hyde followed very closely with a possible at 500 yards and 96 off the rifle in the morning. R. Nicholson was top scorer off the rifle in the afternoon with 90. A. Hyde won the Christmas hamper in a shoot-off, with Peter Eddy second. Scores:— FIRST SHOOT
