HASTINGS CITIZENS’ BAND
SUNDAY EVENING CONCERT. IN QUEEN’S SQUARE. Owing to destruction of the rotunda in Queen’s Square by the earthquake, and the lighting being put out of commission, the Hastings Citizens’ Band has not been able to give its usual evening concerts in the square. However, for the last week .mon havo been engaged in putting in temporary lighting, and on Sunday evening the band will give a programme, which will be the first of a series during the summer months. A very fine selection of music has been rehearsed, and patrons should not miss the opportunity of hearing the band, which is now in very excellent form. The programme is as follows:— March, “8.8. and C.F.” (this is the A grade contest march); overture, “Raymond”; hymn', “It is "Well”; cornet solo, ‘ ‘ Alpine Echoes ” (by Bandmaster L. Simonsen); selection, “I Lombardi”; descriptive item, “Fox and Hounds”; march, “Conqueror.”
