THE KOTITI WRECK

INQUIRY REQUESTED. By Telegraph—Press Association Wellington, Dec. 5. Regarding the loss of the Kotiti in October, the following resolution was passed at a meeting of the Federated Seamen’s Union this week, attended by over 300 members:—“This meeting considers the signed statements of W. Mclntyre and J. Gosse, that the x<o titi had engine trouble and was leaking on the last voyage from Wellington to Westport; further justifies the claim of the union in requesting the Minister of Marine to hold an inquiry into the loss of the vessel in the interest of the relatives of the men who lost their lives in the wreck, and the taking of precautionary measures against further needless loss of life at sea. We again appeal to. the Minister of Marine to hold an inquiry into the loss of the vessel.”
