Flood waters from the Murray river broke the banks with a roar and poured over the low-lying land near Mannum Residents forsook their homes and fled, driving their stock before them. The lower end of Mannum is flooded, and the water is creeping into the main street. Farmers in the surrounding districts suffered great loss.
