A SLIGHT DECREASE. (Per Pre,, A—””'~tir.nj New Plymouth, Dec. 29. A decrease on tho previous week’s total numbei of unemployed registered during the week ending December 22 is revealed by figures supplied last night by the Minister of Labour. The total for the week was 11,371 and that for the previous week was 11,442, a decrease of 71. The details of the registrations at the labour bureaux and post offices in the main centres, with the previous week’s figures shown in parenthesis, are: Auckland 3,113 (3,101). Wellington 1,735 (1,854), Christchurch 1,835 (1,771), Dunedin 628 (687), Invercargill 192 (216). Of tho 11,371 registrations for tho Dominion 6,715 are men with dependents and 4,656 are men without dependents.
