PIGEON RACING

Hastings homing club. WOODVILLE RACE. The Hastings Homing Club flew their second race from Woodville last Saturday The birds were liberated in a north-westerly gale, and several were blown off their course, a great number homing from the direction of Havelock. The race ended in an easy win for A. Harrison, time 1 hour 40 minutes 57 seconds. Results:— A. Harrison’s b c cock Dixie, 1244.8 yards per minute, 1,; C. Martin's b hen No. 118, 1221.5 yards ;ier minute, 2; A. Harrison’s b cock Return, 1213.7 yards per minute 3. Other lofts: M. Bell and F. Holmes.
