Miss Rona Woodward left Hastings for Palmerston yesterday. Miss Brewer, of Hawera. is staying with Mrs A. F. M. Symes, Richmond Park, Hastings.
Miss Anne Gaddum, who visited Hastings this week for the Archer— Nelson Wedding, has returned to Gisborne.
Miss Joan Farrington, of Wellington, is paying a brief visit to Hastings. '
Miss Betty Sherratt, of Gisborne, is visiting Mrs McHardy, Aramoana.
Miss Yvonne Gibson, of Wellington, is staying in Hastings with Mrs C. Spinney, Fitzroy Avenue.
Mr and Mrs W. L. Rutledge, of Gisborne, were visitors to Hawke’s Bay this week for the Archer—Nelson wedding.
Mrs Hinman, of Tasmania, is staying with friends in Hawke’s Bay. • * * Miss Elsie Andrews, of New Plymouth, and Miss Moore (secretary of the Australian Delegation) were delegates at the Pan-Pacific Women's Conference at Honolulu, and both visited Hastings this week and gave lectures.
An interesting social function in Wellington took place last evening, when the private view of the pictures at the annual exhibition took place, invitations being issued by the president and council of tho New Zealand Academy of Fine Arts.
