HAUMOANA

(Own Correspondent.) A meeting for furthering the Clive Grange School Ball which takes place on October 3, was held in the Schoolroom on Wednesday night. Mr A. W. Anderson presided. An apology for absence was received from Mr Hutchinsin. It was announced that Mrs Gatenby and Mrs Glenny had consented to judge the fancy dresses. The children will have the floor till 10 o’clock. As usual ,good prizes will be given. Further particulars will bo advertised later. An unusual pairing of numbers has taken place in the school. There are two rooms, and a short time ago there were 74 children on the. roll, 37 in one room and 37 in the other, and there were 37 boys and 37 girls on the roll. This week there are 84 names on the roll, and there are 42 children in one room and 42 in the other, and there are 42 boys and 42 girls on the school roll.
