WAGES REDUCTION RECOMMENDED. ESSENTIAL.
(Received 7, 1.55 p.m.) London, March 6. Mr. H. P. MacMillan, K.C.. who. with the assistance of employers and trades unions, conducted an inquiry into the northern woo] and textile industry, has issued his report. This recommends a reduction in .wages on the ground that the industry is so dangerously depressed that sacrifices in wages are essential. Mr MacMillan has been made a Lord of Appeal.
