FORMATION OF FOOTBALL CLUB

A meeting with the object of forming a football club in Havelock North was held in the Town Board office last evening but, owing to the large number of counter-attractions, was not as fully attended ’as was anticipated Mr. V. H. Ladbrook was elected chairman and Mr. R. Chapman-Taylor secretary, pro torn, ft was decided that a club be formed and intending players are asked to hand in their names to the chairman as soon as possible so that another meeting may be held to make final arrangements. Mr. W. H. Ladbrook, who is responsible fot the revival of football interest in Havelock North, has been associated with the game for nearly 30 years. It is now up to the players of the village to rally round and help keep up the name of the village.
