Selling Wool Abroads Mr. W. P. Devereaux, a member of the Migration Commission, is going to London to establish an organisation for selling Australian wool abroad on behalf of the Graziers’ Associations of the Commonwealth.
N.Z.-Canadian Treaty t On the Canadian Government motion to go into committee of supply, the Conservatives moved an amendment urging that “certain trade arrangements with the Dominion of New Zealand should be rescinded forthwith and immediate steps taken to negotiate a treaty with that dominion on fair and equitable terms.”
Bombs in Yugo-Slavia j Two unknown persons hurled a bomb into the hall of an hotel at Pirot where a Bulgarian delegation is staying while engaged in preliminary negotiations which, it is hoped, will lead to a Bulguro-Yugo-Slav convention. Two other bombs were thrown in the street. One person was killed and 25 others injured. Three arrests were made.
Lack of Parental Control: The Pope, addressing a Lenten Pastoral to preachers, deplores the presentday lack of parental control. He says that tho evil consists in the abdication of any duty of surveillance by parents over their, sons and daughters, lie made it clear that in his opinion tho worst offenders are those overseas, in England and America.
The Airship R 100: An examination of RlOO after the duration flight revealed certain defects in the envelope and engine accessories, the remedying of which will occupy until late in April, when the airship will prepare for a flight to St. Hubert, Canada, leaving in tire middle of May. Tho chief necessity is to fix the outer cover more securely, as the fabric has nob held at many points. Tho Air Ministry will not officially take over the airship until the repairs are completed.
