FURTHER SERIES OF LECTURES “PROBLEMS OF TO-DAY.” A further series of public lectures organised by the Workers’ Education Association will be commenced in the Wesley Hall, Hastings, on Thursday next, the sth inst. The lecturer will be Mr. W. E. Bate, LL.M. It is Mr. Bate’s intention to deal with problems of present-day importance and though some of his subjects, such as the national debt, taxation, transport, etc. are of current political interest, an endeavour will be made to deal with them from a scientific and nonpolitical angle. Although the subjects are essentially modern, they will receive historical treatment alpo, and Mr. Bate’s lectures should be both interesting and educational. His course will comprise six lectures and will be entitled “Problems of To-day.” The subject for next Thursday will be “How May We Solve Them?”
