The liner Jervis Bay met the Finnish sailing, ship Grace Harmer almost becalmed in the Bight, when the latter was 150 days out from North Carolina. She was flying a distress signal. ‘A boat came alongside the Jervis Bay and the mate' said that they were in a bad way for want of stores. These were supplied. The mate said that in two more days they would have been in a serious plight. No more news could be obtained concerning their e;| eriences.
