ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
(Fee Press Association.! The dead body of Peter Hunt, a returned soldier, was found in a house at New Brighton, Chrtchurch, last evening. Hunt, who lived alone in the house, had not been seen for several days. The owner of the house last night forced the door and found the body lying on the floor.
An unfortunate accident befel a boy named Wicks, son of Mr and Mrs T. Wicks, Dufferin street, Hastings, last evening. He was playing in the garden, and by some means slipped and broke his leg. and had to be conveyed to the Napier Hospital.
On Sunday, Mr and Mrs Hickmott, while driving some friends through to Hastings, met with an accident on tho Wairoa-Napier road, near to the Turiroa School. Mr Hickmott was driving, and when crossing a sunken culvert the car ran off the road into a bank. Mrs Hickmott was throd'n against one of the ribs of the hood, the impagjt smashing her glasses. She was slightly injured in both eyes and she also suffered some bruises on the face. She was taken to tire Wairoa Hospital for treatment, where she is at present. The other occupants of the car were not injured. The front axle was very badly damaged.
