H.M. THE KING
NOW ABLE TO WALK ENJOYING THE SUNSHINE. DUKE OF CONNAUGHT RECOVERED. [British Official Wireless.] (Received 6. 10.50 a.m.) Rugby, March 5. It was stated from Craigweil House this morning that the King had passed a good night. To-day was fine, with bright sunshine and only a slight wind, so that the King, who arose early, was able to walk from his bedroom to the sun room to enjoy the sunlight and the warm, fresh air. The King passed a good day; the sun shone brilliantly, and after sitting in the sun room during the morning, His Majesty went back to his bedroom in the afternoon, so that he could get the full effect of the sun from the western windows. Sir Frederick Ponsonby, Keeper of the Privy Purse, visited Craigweil House this afternoon at the King’s command, and submitted some papers to His Majesty. Sir Frederick Ponsonby also had a long talk with the King. DUKE OF CONNAUGHT. The King’s uncle, tho Duke of Connaught, has completely recovered from his recent slight attack of influenza, and was able yesterday to leave his villa at Cape Ferrat for a walk.
