OIL AGREEMENT

A three years’ agreement between the Anglo-American Oil Combine and Russian Oil Products has been signed, giving Russian oil an equal share on the British market with other companies, Newspapers state that the agreement does not compensate the owners of Russian fields which the Soviet confiscated.
Reports that negotiations were approaching finality were quickly followed by an official announcement that the price of all petrol, including Russian, was being raised twopence farthing per gallon forthwith.
