The annual meeting of the above club is to be held in the H.B. Jockey Club rooms on Tuesday, 18th September, when the following report will be presented:— “The past season has been 'a most successful one and leaves the club in a sound financial position. The membership was well maintained during the season and the courts were at all times taxed to their utmost. These are improvements that have been needed for sonic considerable time. “The thanks of the club are due to Mr. Adams and his staff for their careful attention to the courts during the season. Thanks are also due to Messrs. Clifft and Lassen for kindly donating silver racquets for competitions. and to the president and vicepresidents for their generous donations: to Mrs. R. Short for the use of room for meetings; and to the ‘Hawke’s Hay Tribune’ for publishing notes and reports.”
