FOR HAWKE’S BAY DISTRICT ISSUED DAILY BY MR K K WRAGGE, FR.M.S. EXCLUSIVE TO “TRIBUNEA [By Telegraph—Special to the “Tribune.] Frankton, Auq. 7. Forecast for 24 hours from 9 a.m. to-day. covering the area between Wairoa. Te Aute and the ranges inland :— Distribution of pressure is somewhat complicated areas of low barometric pressure bei<l to the northwest and south-east of Nanier, wnile a narrower high pressure ridge operates over the central and southern portions of the Dominion. Thus, temporarily fair to fine weather should obtain with cold night tem peratures and frost inland. Somewhat cloudy conditions are likely at times over the ranges. Winds between S.S.W., S. and E.S.E. Seas moderate to rising later.
DOMINION METEOROLOGIST’S FORECAST.
The Dominion Meteorologist telegraphs as follows for 24 hours from 9 this day:—The indications are for southerly winds moderate to strong, to gale at times. The weather will probably prove squally and changeable, with intermittent showers near the coast and cold temperatures. Barometer rising slowly.
