GENERAL ELECTION
HAWKE’S BAY SEAT LABOUR NOMINATIONS Messrs. William John Lyon, of Wellwood street, Hastings, and Mr. Arch Lowe, of Hastings, are the two candidates in the running for nomination as the Labour Party's lepresentative at the forthcoming election for the Hawke’s Bay seat. Th s day fortnight a ballot of all the trade unions in the province will be taken to decide between these two gentlemen, and who ever is selected will he the official Labour candidate for Hawke’s Bay, and his name will be announced immediately after the ballot. Mr. J. Queenan has wired the Lahrnr headquarters asking them to finalisi their confirmation of the candidature of Mr. Bob Tutake for the Eastern Maori electorate, but he had not received a reply at 2 p.m. to-da-’ Mr Bob Tutaki’s organisatijn i, not affiliated with tha Labour Part.-.
