NEW ZEALAND ASSOCIATION.

ANNUAL MEETING.

Wellington, July 13< The annual meeting of the New Zealand Public Schools of Great Britain was held to-day, His Excellency the Governor-General presiding. It was decided to admit no more boys to New Zealand under the scheme just at present. There were already between 600 and 700 in the country at present. Mr R. Darroch was appointed salaried travelling officer for one year to keep in touch with the boys and find friends for them in their own districts.

It was decided to form branches of the association in the other cities. The Governor-General considered the continuance of the association more than justified. Officers elected and the schools ol their attendance are as under:— President, the Governor-General (Eton);' chairman of committee, Major-General Sir Andrew Russell (Harrow) • committee, Messrs S. C. Rathbone (Eton), H. S. W. King (Dulwich), G. Bagnall (Upingham), S. E. E Neil] (Harrow), Rev. E. C. Malden (Repton), Henry Arkwright (Winchester); honorary secretary, Mr R. S. Abraham (Haileybury).
