It is learned that Mr. 0. F. Nelson is making an effort to obtain his reinstatement in Samoa and has instructed his London lawyers to begin an appeal to the Privy Council against the deportation order on the ground that the New Zealand law of 1927, under which he was deported, does not contain provision for appeal. “It may break me,” he said, “but I mean to go through with it.” MAINTENANCE OF ORDER. (Australian and N.Z. Press Assn.) Geneva, June 23. It is understood that the Mandates Commission’s findings in the case of Samoa will include one stating that the mandatory lawful authority must be maintained at all costs; anything menacing good order must be firmly dealt with.
