KAHURANAKI REBEKAH LODGE. The usua] meeting of the above lodge wa s held last Thursday evening in the Lancaster Hall. Sister A. Talbot presiding over a good attendance of members. A motion of sympathy and condolence was carried in silence to Sister East, P.N.G. of Gisborne Rebekah Lodge No 8, who recently lost her husband. Three Sisters were reported sick. Two candidates were proposed and five were initiated into the order. Correspondence from Grand Lodge was received, stating that four Rebekah Lodges were recently opened. making sixyt-five Ladies’ Lodges in New Zealand. The question of remits for next Grand Lodge session was held over until next meeting night. A report from the social committee was received stating tte.t final arrangements had been made in regard to the social to be held on the,3oth and tickets were available. An invitation from Karamu Lolge was received and accepted for an evening next Thursday night. After the* lodge closed, the usual supper was partaken of and thoroughly enjoyed.
