WOMEN’S COMMUNITY CLUB
PLAY READING EVENING. A most enjoyable play-reading evening was spent at the Women’s Club on Monday last by members of that circle Three short plays were read. “When a Marriage has been Arranged,” read bv Mrs Lewis, and Miss P. Lewis, the latter kindly reading the part for All's Rainbow who was unable to be present. “A Maker of Dreams,” was read by Airs W, J. White. Mrs Webber and Aliss Foxßogers. A comedy. “The Dear Departed,” was interpreted by Airs Perrin. Mrs Hogg, Mr s Webber Mrs Marshall, Airs Lovell-Smith and Miss Ford. A number of new members besides those who joined last year were present. These were Mrs H. Small, Mrs Brodie. Mrs J. Miller. Mrs Marshall, Miss Lovell-Smith, and Miss Nilsson The successful evening promised well for a very interesting season this winter.
