ALLEGED INEFFICIENCY LISTENERS-IN DISSATISFIED. PLAIN SPPEAKING AT AUCKLAND. (Per Press Association). Auckland, March 20. The dissatisfaction felt by local radio subscribers with the existing broadcasting service found erpression at a meeting convened by the Auckland Listeners’ League last evening, for which Mr. Harris, general mana ger of Radio Ltd., had declined the invitation to attend. The following motion was carried unanimously:— This meeting is of the opinion that while the control of broadcasting is in the hands of the present inefficient administration, no real improvement in broadcasting .can .be .erpected, and, after eight months, it reaffirms its lack of confidence in either the capabilities or good intentions of the Radio Broadcasting Company. A further resolution expressed regret at the failure of the Government to set up an Advisory Board, and complained of the company’s failure to provide listeners-in with a financial statement during the two years it has conducted broadcasting.
