LABOUR AT GENEVA

QUESTIONS OF PROCEDURE. (Received 4, 11.35 a.m.) 'Geneva, Feb. 3. The Labour Office Council has resolved to hold an international Maritime Labour Conference immediately after the labour conference of 1929. The council adopted the French Government delegates’ motion that the council examine the procedure to be followed regarding proposals for revising conversations. The mover, M. Picqucnard. said that until this question was discussed tho council was unable to consider the British Government’s revision proposal. The British Government delegates announced that they reserved the right to place the revision on the 1929 agenda. The labour groups opposed the motion on the ground that tho Washington Convention should bo upheld.
