Melville won by hall a yard. Time, 10 2-5 secs. Second heat: W.'Hunt (Sydney) scr. 1, 1. K. Hook 24yds 2, L. H. Mere dith 24yds o. Only starters. Won oy half a yard. Time, 10 2-5. Final: Elliott 1, Hunt 2, Fergussou 3. Also competed: Hook (Melville) and Meredith were not well enough to compete). A great finish. Elliott won by a foot.
